About Us / Contact UsLeatherwood Manufacturing, Inc. (LMI) was founded in 1986 by Mike and Linda Leatherwood. Ours sons, Gil, Scott, and Randy joined the firm in the first year of operation. We are a family oriented company. LMI is a Veteran owned, high quality custom manufacturer, serving the Aerospace, Military, Medical, Transportation, Industrial, and Commercial industries. LMI continues to reinvest capital to maintain state of the art equipments in our fabrication, machining and assembly shops. LMI obtained ISO 9000 certification march 1994. Recertified ISO 9001:2008 December 2009. LMI recently stepped to the next level and certified to AS9100 Rev. B requirements for Aerospace Quality Management System in January 2007. LMI began business in a 5000 s/f facility in 1986, expanded to 20,000 sq. ft. by 1993. As business grew, we relocated to a 40,000 s/f facility in 1994. In 1998, we added 15,000s/f expanding our fabrication facility. LMI expanded again in January of 2009, adding an additional 25,000 s/f of manufacturing space which now totals 80,000 sq. ft. Our company name was changed in 2008 to Leatherwood Manufacturing, Inc. to align more specifically to the type of work we now perform. Every job is important to us. As a family-run business, we are motivated by personal satisfaction from a job well done. LMI's reputation has been built on our signature service and proven by our return customer base.
